Damon Robb - Wind Bag

I have been a teacher and professional musician for nearly 30 years. I started my musical career in the Royal Artillery Band, after training at the renowned ‘Royal Military School of Music’, Knellar Hall.

Since coming to this area in 2000 I have taught at The London Oratory School, Wycombe Music Centre, The Beacon School and have been teaching woodwind at Gayhurst School in Gerrards Cross for the last 10 years. I have worked extensively in Orchestras, Bands and Ensembles and held positions in several West End Orchestras. I was the Deputy Conductor on ‘West Side Story’ at the Prince of Wales Theatre, London, and on the UK National Tour. In 2002, my wife and I started the events agency, Conferents Ltd which provides personnel, actors and musicians for conferences and events.

“I love running the Wind Bands, as I feel the opportunity for children to experience the joy of playing in a large ensemble, whilst at the same time developing friendships outside of their usual circle, is what music-making is all about.”

Shirley Moon - Drama Queen

Having graduated with a BA in Drama and Music, I spent my early years largely in children’s theatre, at home and abroad, performing, directing and teaching. P&O provided me with the opportunity to act my way around the world three times over, on Sea Princess, Oriana and the infamous Canberra, as well as providing me with a husband! Damon Robb, professional musician, married me, professional actress and together we now run Conferents, placing actors and musicians within the events industry.

"Having spent the last ten years running Conferents Ltd, it is now lovely for me to be getting back to my roots working with children; seeing them develop those natural skills that every child possesses and above all enjoying themselves"
