The Senior Band is for those aged 13 ish or above who have reached the dizzy heights of Grade 5 or higher!

(The ages and standards are only a guide and no exam needs to have been taken)

We meet on Mondays at Fulmer Village Hall playing from 7 to 8.30pm

The Tuck Shop is on hand for the break and is usually hit harder by this older group than the Junior Band, although they probably wouldn’t admit it!

We play a lot of diverse music and have a large repertoire ranging from classical pieces such as The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and Debussy’s ‘The Girl with the Flaxen Hair’ through to more contemporary pieces like Lalo Schifrin’s ‘Mission:Impossible’ and ‘Cantaloupe Island’ by Herby Hancock

I’m always on the lookout for new and interesting pieces for them to play. All the music is arranged especially for the group. Some of the band members bring in arrangements of their own, which is really encouraged. We include these arrangements in the end of term concerts whenever possible. We also like to take the opportunity to give concerts and play at events in the local community.
